MEET HALSEY LAYNE!
This lil super model should be strutting the catwalk! Halsey Layne, a 10 week old stunningly beautiful Boerboel. What can we say? Certainly a rare find in rescue! Incredibly loving, Intelligent, loyal, and looking for a firm leader to call her very own. As with all mastiffs, socialization is an absolute requirement to promote the correct temperament. Early socialization is the key to having a well mannered, friendly and social Boerboel. This bouncing beauty is a gem! Please read all requirements as we receive so many inquiries only completed queries will receive a response. Thank you for your understanding!
Adopters must have current or past Mastiff, Pit Bull, Rottweiler or other power breed experience. Mastiffs are athletic dogs despite their bulk that thrive on regular exercise and structure. Halsey will need to be physically and mentally stimulated. A yard is a must with this Stunning Gentle Giant. Please be prepared to put in the work. Mastiffs will never leave your side if permitted but need structure and boundaries instilled from an early age. Boerboels are chewers and appropriate training is a must! We STRONGLY recommend crate training in the beginning! Halsey Layne is already mastering her crate training thus far!
Halsey is a Boerboel from what we were told by the woman that had her prior. She is also Boerboel based on her aesthetics, structure, color and weight. From the look of this lil tank is going to be thick and square!
In the light her muzzle and ears are blue which is a Boerboel trait. We are not breeders and so we must say that there may be some Bullmastiff or Presa Canario in Halsey but we are thinking all Mack Truck Boerboel. All sugar and spice!
We do not DNA test our dogs for breed but always encourage our adopters to.
Halsey is going to be a Big ol' Beauty as she's already 19.5 lbs at 10 weeks. Her potential weight is 120-140 lbs full grown. Sorry, no Apartments, Condos or Townhouses for this girl. Halsey will make a FABULOUSLY loving, loyal companion and have a nice protective instinct which will be a great asset to the right type of owner or family. Halsey is looking for a family or owner that is committed should behavioral issues that may arise later on in young adulthood; hence why we require prior experience. She is quite a loving puppy with a lifetime of devotion to give the right family. Could that be you? Are you the lucky someone?

We pre-screen via email so please tell us a little about your lifestyle, work schedule, how many adults, children or pets are in the household, area you live in, house or apartment, breed experience, etc....
We will happily place Halsey Layne in a home with dog savvy older children or like sized dog. This big girl can not go into a home with infants or toddlers. We expect her to be an indoor dog. She is now on a diet consisting of premium grain-free kibble and has zero food allergies or skin issues.
Young dogs are a lot of work so please make sure you’re ready for the responsibility, all are on board and that everyone in the household is ready for the long term commitment that training, grooming, brushing and exercise a dog like this requires.
Should things move forward to a meet & greet/home check situation ALL family members, kids and pets currently living at the residence must be present. The meet and greet to not only make sure Halsey gels with you guys and your dog but that everyone in the family is on board and equally as enthusiastic.
We do not make exceptions to this rule.
