Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Finley was a sight for sore eyes when we first saw him at the WAS. He was matted, thin and had a terrible problem with fly strike on one ear (it was a large open bleeding wound). We have had him in our foster home for about 2 weeks now, can you see the difference?
Finley is a wonderful dog. He know commands, listens well, follows his foster mom around and is great with her other dogs and cats. He is totally house trained. He knows sit, and down very well, walks on a leash well, jumps into a car and settles in like he is a seasoned traveler. He has not been neutered though and is in terrible need of a dental. We think he is about 6 to 7 yrs old.
So, why did he end up as a stray in such bad condition? We will probably never know, but we do have an idea. Since we have had him he has had two seizures, perhaps that is why. Between his two seizures (which were about a week apart) he is a wonderful, sweet, happy dog.
So, Finley is now one of many dogs that are in need of a special home. A home that will maintain him on medication (not very expensive). He will undergo further medical evaluation as to why he has the seizures, but many times the cause is unknown and medication is the only answer.
We are hoping that Finley will soon find his forever home and will live a wonderful rest of his life.
