This beautiful boy is Bentley! Bentley is a English Cream Golden Retriever who is about a year old, & he needs a new forever home! Bentley is a friendly, sweet, & affectionate boy! He is good with all dogs big & small, loves people including kids, he’s smart & submissive overall. One of our favorite trainers has worked with this guy & even evaluated him for service. While Bentley was great at the training center, he has had some issues with boundaries at home. Like many young, smart dogs, Bentley pushes boundaries & can be very stubborn when he wants to be! He is also a high-energy boy & if he doesn’t get the energy burn he needs, his attention will turn to destructive behaviors. While Bentley loves to play with other dogs, he has a tendency to resource guard at times with toys. We are looking for an experienced owner for Bentley that will appropriately set & reinforce boundaries & expectations with this sweet boy. We’ve been working with him a couple weeks & have made great progress; he just needs to know what is expected of him & boundaries need to be reinforced. Bentley is both treat & toy motivated. We are also looking for an active household with a young, playful dog sibling & a fenced yard as he loves to run & play! Bentley also loves water, or at least laying in the kiddie pool in summer! He is housebroken & leash trained. He is also crate trained although he isn’t a big fan of being in a crate; this is one of the areas we have focused on & made good progress with lots of positive reinforcement. Bentley is fully vetted including all his vaccinations, neuter, & microchip with lifetime registration. Adoption fee is $150.
