Breezy female Possibly a schnauzer/ mix, 10 years old, blind, had an eye removed, 15 lbs, spayed etc
The story of Breezy is the right time & the right place to truly save this little ladies life. Breezy was from a kill shelter in CA & we rescued her along with several others who needed rescue. With Breezy it was quite quickly discovered there was a huge amount of neglect. We got her to our vets in CA & then bought her back to WA where our vet discovered Breezy needed her eye removed ASAP before it ruptured. Breezy ended up having her eye removed & we got a biopsy done to be on the safe side & thank goodness it was benign. We ended up spending well beyond $1400 on little Miss Breezy’s medical care.
Breezy is a spayed female perhaps schnauzer mix, what she is mixed with we do not know. She weighs roughly 15 lbs, is up to date on her shots, heart worm negative, chipped, we got x-rays done & Breezy also had a full dental & had her eye removed & has glaucoma in her other eye which makes her almost completely blind, loves all other dogs, great with people & we have not had her around cats before.
Breezy was in a home but was returned for not getting along with the families dog. She is currently fostered with other dogs now & doing so well but we recommend Breezy be the only dog in the home to be the families everything.
Breezy is a very sweet little lady & we want her to be cherished after everything she has been through. Breezy loves to snuggle & is so extremely affectionate & loving with her foster mum. She enjoys sitting with you on the couch. She will follow you around the house but does adapt quite well to her surroundings. She does well on a leash & enjoys a lovely car ride. If Breezy hears a knock at the door she will bark until you tell her, it’s ok. Breezy would need a home who understands they would need to help her adjust to their new home with being almost blind, but this does not stop this little lady from enjoying life.
Breezy has not been around cats since being in her foster home & did fine around respectful older children who were not loud & fast moving, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around very small children so this would be up to the new family to be responsible with.
We do not know for sure what breed Breezy is mixed with & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is.
As with all of our rescues & Breezy’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training will in fact take them to training.
Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Breezy & going through the process and have read her listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Breezy that meet all the requirements for this adorable little lady.
Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Please do not email us asking is Breezy potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond.
Breezy has an adoption fee of $500 & is ready for his truly loving forever home.
