Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The owner of these precious puppies was elderly and got very sick. She was never coming home from the hospital. She loved her Jack Russell Terriers very much. Her husband tried to take care of them but there were too many. He is also in bad health and was worried about tripping over them. He made the hard decision to take his beloved wife's dogs to the shelter. Like so many people in the Deep South he was unaware that if the shelter is full (and just about all in the south are) owner surrenders are euthanized immediately. He took 12 JRT's to a high kill shelter that was beyond capacity. These sweet well-loved dogs were trembling in their cages. The director gave them one chance to get out but it was rescue only due to the shelter not knowing their personalities. Our hearts were broken watching the video of them all shaking and cowering in their crates. We took on all 12. They were all over us with kisses when we took them out of the shelter!
