Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please meet Lulu, an adorable, playful 10-year-old spayed female. She is current on all her vaccinations, has recently completed a health check and dental, is microchipped, and is ready to find her forever home. She was raised from a puppy until now by a loving, caring owner, and was tearfully surrendered to our Rescue only as an absolute last resort when the owner developed health issues that prevented her from giving Lulu the attention and activity level she deserves. This little 8-pound girl is much more active than her age would indicate - she loves to romp in the yard, toss her toys around the room, and entertain you with her antics. She gets along well with our three small dogs, and enjoys sharing the couch with them and her human(s) on a lazy afternoon. She also loves to snuggle in the human bed at night. Lulu walks very well on a leash, rides well in the car, and is faithful to go to the door or use a piddle pad the majority of the time, but, as with most dogs, may have an occasional accident. While she will tolerate being crated or confined for short periods of time if absolutely necessary, she does exhibit separation anxiety, and will protest quite loudly if her human is out of sight. We believe Lulu would thrive best with the constant companionship of an adoptive owner who is retired and/or works from home, and who lives in a detached home with a yard rather than a condo or apartment unit. Lulu has a sensitive stomach, which can be triggered by her separation anxiety. For this reason, she requires an adoptive owner who will commit to continuing her vet-prescribed diet to be at her very healthiest. Please note that the policy of the Rescue is to NOT adopt to households with children under the age of ten, as small dogs often do not interact well with infants or toddlers. Lulu will win your heart in an instant, and will be a loving, loyal companion and member of your household. If your household meets the above criteria, we hope you will consider submitting an Adoption Application for this fun, loving sweetheart!
