My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is our very sweet girl Dutchess who is currently with St Thomas City Animal Services.

Dutchess came into us from a feral cat colony, that she was part of for a short time. The caregiver of the colony realized that she was not like the other colony members and decided to give her a shot. As a stray cat living on the streets she was a bit nervous being inside and being pet by random strangers. It took her a bit of time to start trusting us and not hiding from us every time she seen us.

She has now been with us for just over a month and seems to be enjoying the lavished indoor cat lifestyle. She very much enjoys being pet and having the affection bestowed on her. She is still a bit nervous of just anyone picking her up, so she does have to know you before picking her up and give her those amazing snuggles. She does enjoy playing with toys, the laser pointer is her favorite. She is just learning how to play with balls but has learned quickly how to play with the cat tasers.
Dutchess is a very clean cat, she never has a mess and is even so clean she will try and bury her unfinished wet food. She is an easy keeper and has very few demands. Starting her life outdoors, she has turned a new leaf in her life as a pampered cat and is overjoyed to be one. We are hoping that someone will give her a chance, like the colony caregiver did and will find room in their home for a loving forgotten feral turned tamed tabby!

If you do have any questions about Dutchess please feel free to contact us and we would be happy to help.
