Meet Max. Max's foster family calls him "Max Daddy". He is being fostered in Potomac MD.
Max’s mommy got sick and her family would not help care for her dog. It broke her heart surrendering Max to us.
Max is an 8 year old pure-bred Bichon Frise and father to Daisy, also posted here(adopted). Max arrived here weighing 27 pounds but has already lost a few pounds.
Do not let Max’s age put you off. Bichons live an average of 18 – 20 years: the oldest recorded Bichon lived 26 years.
Max is smart enough to know that relationships are developed over time. His personality is peeking out slowly and gradually after the abrupt change from his home of eight years. His fosters are enjoying Max’s company and look forward to seeing Max’s personality blossom. He is a well-balanced, friendly, thoughtful dog. He is an outdoorsy boy who loves to sit on the patio step and listen, smell and watch the world. He walks well on a leash, is neutered, house-trained, and up-to-date with all his shots.
