Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Houdini came by his name justifiably! This boy can climb and escape just about anything. BUT, he's only escaping to be with his human family! He wants to be inside lounging on the couch with you watching Lifetime movies or a good football game. In other words he doesn't really care as long as belly rubs are included. If he is in the house or has access to come in and out he will not try to climb or escape from our experience.
Houdini came from a hoarding situation where he was tied outside among a pile of junk with a table as his shelter and exposed to bugs and hunger. He is still tinted yellow from having motor oil rubbed on him to kill the mange! He is doing absolutely wonderful now! He plays with all the other dogs, comes in the house, crates well and is doing much better with house training. He is fixed, up-to-date on shots and ready for his new home. I think another doggy playmate would be best to keep him company and keep him from trying to escape. Please give this young man a chance. He deserves so much better out of life than what's been handed to him so far.

Please note that we are a TX based rescue, so all of our dogs are currently located in TX. We work with Rescue Road Trips to transport our dogs to your area upon approval of adoption application. The reason we do this is because TX is a high-kill state due to it being over populated with unwanted, but wonderful dogs, and finding homes in other states helps us to save more lives. Our adoption fee for the NE is $355 ($170 adoption and $185 transportation). All dogs will arrive spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and with their health certificate required for transportation.
Apply at www.krrtx.org/forms - and please note that there is a $25 application fee, which will be credited toward adoption fees.
