Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ADOPTION PENDING
Romulus (nickname “Rom”) is a 2 year old mantle male (black with white feet and some white on his chest) with natural ears. He is a very big boy, long bodied and tall, and has long heavy jowls. He does drool a lot due to the size of his lips. He weighs about 170 pounds. Romulus has been exposed to larger dogs and small dogs and is great with both, he has not yet been exposed to cats or other small animals. His canine foster sister only weighs 19 pounds and he is very gentle with her and they play together all the time. Romulus loves to be around people and will be your shadow as you move around the house. He is slightly nervous meeting new people, but it doesn’t take long for him to warm up. He tends to like women quicker than men, but again is very quick to warm up overall. He loves to go on long walks and does well on a leash. He has been fine with kids however he doesn’t really know his size. Because of this we are recommending kids 12+. He hasn’t shown any separation anxiety and has been kept in a "dog room" when his fosters are away. Every so often he will pull on a dog bed or tear up a magazine, but this is rare. He loves stuffed toys and will carry one around. He is good in the car and he did great on his visit to the vet. Romulus wants you to rub his neck and ears and if you stop he will slowly lift his paw to tell you he needs more attention. Because of Romulus' size, a training contract with be part of his adoption.
Update 11/6/18 - Rom is back in rescue after about a month due to some issues getting along with the other dog in his house. He has been great with every other dog he has met, including his two canine foster siblings, so we do believe he can get along with dogs. He is young and can get energetic and mouthy when he plays, which some dogs may not like. A forever home with no other dogs would be preferred but we would consider a home with other dogs if the owners are experienced in integrating a pack.
