Here's what the humans have to say about me:
LUKE (aka Duke) is a neutered male, German Shepherd, current on vaccines and approx 100lbs, hw negative, flea free, and around 5-6 yrs young, crate trained, and house trained. He was an owner surrender due to neglect (and his ears are still a sensitive area); but has made a remarkable recovery due to wonderful vet care and volunteers helping to build his trust and respect in humans again. This boy is handsome, intelligent, loving, obedient, enjoys being bathed, loves attention from his companions, enjoys tug of war, and has shown wonderful behavior around people. He has been known to talk to his caretakers when excited or howl a bit when lonely. Luke seems to prefer the company of smaller dogs, his size or larger are not a good fit. We have found Luke (aka Duke) to be a sensitive boy who will thrive on additional training, routine exercise, and "work". Like most German Shep, Luke has a very sensitive stomach and is currently on Hills prescription food; we are working on transition him to a different brand. We truly believe this boy has definite and untapped potential to be a service or therapy dog!! A fenced yard is a requirement, and we recommend a family with adults (age 15 and older). If interested, send an adoption application found on the ADOPTME page at DREAM4pets.org Our adoption radius is approx 120 miles from Miami County Ohio. If interested in DUKE, please send us an adoption application found on the ADOPTME page at Dream4pets.org
