Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dante - Boerboel/Boxer Mix - Male - 3 years - www.twyla.org
Meet Dante: This gorgeous and super sweet gentle Giant is a Mastiff (we think African Boerboel) /Boxer mix, 3-4 years, 83 lbs, low-medium energy level. He came to us after being spotted running loose for a while and not trusting anyone enough to get caught, but he loves kids and one day just followed some kids home and their family held on to him until he was placed in foster care.
He is good with dogs that are friendly once introduced properly. He loves kids, he is housebroken, walks well on a leash, as long as you see the squirrel before he does! He Prefers to do his business while out on a walk and will only "use" the backyard in a pinch, so daily walks are preferred and highly recommended. Dante is ok in the crate and will follow his food motivation into a crate, once a treat is in there. He much prefers human attention and snuggling on the sofa with his folks. He has impeccable indoor manners.
What makes Danté so special is he just wants to be with his humans and to be truly loved. He is very affectionate with his family and can be left alone when given proper exercise.
Danté is looking for a patient home with or without another dog, where someone is home a lot as he does not care to be alone. Someone that is able & willing to take him on his walks every day. A high fence is required as he loves spending time outdoors with his family, he likes showing off his squirrel hunting skills.
