My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Winston was a stray at the Montgomery Shelter who was completely matted and scared. He got a nice bath and haircut and is feeling much better! He gets along with other dogs, but does have some food aggression so it is best if he is fed separately from other dogs in the home. We believe that since he was a stray he didn't have access to food for long periods of time and therefore now when it is feeding time he wants to gobble down his meal before anyone else can take it from him. He loves people and genuinely enjoys cuddling and riding in your lap during car rides. His paperwork from the shelter listed him as 2 years old, but upon further inspection, we believe he is closer to 1 year old. He did have an injury to his back which left him a little quirky when he walks and runs, but he did not let that injury steal his shine. He is still the happiest and spunkiest boy in town.

**Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered.
Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states.

Adoption fee is $350.
