Faith
Spayed Female
Adult 2 Years Old
American Chinchilla
Silver
Weight 8.8
I was a stray found running loose and pulled from New Hanover County Animal Services.
The shelter describes me as a “tulip” which means that I have been observed engaging in the widest range of behaviors from everything to bulging eyes, cowering, chinning, grooming, boxing, lunging, exploring, fighting, thumping, flagging their tails, startling, hiding, playing with toys, and binkying. Tulip’s rarely flop in shelters as they are not usually laid back. In homes tulips are often entertaining rabbits, always on high alert, very active, interactive, and exhibiting the same wide range of behaviors they do in a shelter environment. Some may not do well with children or other rabbits. Caution should be observed in adopting Tulips to homes with many other rabbits or children.
TULIP BEHAVIOR MARKERS
• WIDE RANGE OF BEHAVIORS
• ACTIVE
• HIGH ALERT
• MAY NOT DO WELL WITH CHILDREN AND OTHER RABBITS
