Here's what the humans have to say about me:
He is the sweetest, snuggliest boy, but is still very much a puppy. He is potty trained and learns very quickly, he knows how to sit, and is working on how to walk on a leash, stay, and lay down. His favorite place is the couch, where he will snuggle with you for as long as you like! He is not high energy, but is still easily excited; he does best with older kids (7ish and up), but is working on containing his excitement and being gentle with little ones. He does well with other dogs and loves to play, but can get territorial of his people if he starts to feel jealous. He would do very well in a fenced yard; without a fence he will explore, but he seems to do very well just with having a visual boundary that he is not allowed to cross. Maverick does NOT like car rides, and tends to get car sick, he is very happy to hang out at home with his humans, playing or just spending time together. He is working through his anxiety in new situations, he does much better with CBD, and lots of love and patience. Any home would be lucky to have this boy that will stay by your side and give you the warmest welcome you’ve ever received every time you walk through the door. ❤️
Maverick's foster mom says he's really smart and has his schedule memorized. He will go sit in his crate when he knows it’s close to dinner time, because he loves to eat! When sweet Maverick was found in the shelter, he was very underweight and so close to dying, but his foster mommy saved him! He has since gained healthy weight, has become crate and potty trained, and learned how to love. Maverick would love a furever home to call his very own.
