Dutchess is a 1 year old 35lb Queensland Heeler/Border Collie mix. She was surrendered by her owner because he didn’t have enough time for her. Dutchess definitely thinks she is royalty. She is very spunky and energetic, but also loving and has an off button. If you let her she will jump in your arms and let you hold her like a baby. We are looking for an adult only home for Dutchess because kids are little too unpredictable for her. She does okay around other dogs. Because she is a dominant female and can be a little bossy, especially with female dogs, we recommend a home with a male dog or no other dogs. Dutchess loves to chase the ball and is learning to bring it back to us. She is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and knows several commands. Dutchess also loves to be with her person and travels wonderfully in a car.
Dutchess has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for heartworm, is on heartworm preventative, flea preventative and has been dewormed.
Please no apartments, condos, or mobile home parks. A home check is required. Yolo County adopters preferred, but will consider other locations. If you are more than 100 miles away from Yolo County please be aware that there may be a small additional expense associated with travel cost.
If you are interested in meeting Dutchess, email us and we will send you an adoption application. (include your location in the email) The adoption fee for Dutchess is $450.
*Vetting includes: Neuter/spay, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, heartworm test, flea preventative, heart worm preventative (including the remainder of their 6-month supply), and any other necessary vet care.
