My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I LOVE: Attention. People of all shapes and sizes, please just pet me! If you stop, I will softly reach my paw out to ask for more! I also love cheese and am very motivated to learn when you have a nice slice of cheddar handy. After a training session, I love to curl up next to you on the couch for some soft scratches and a movie!

I HAVE: A sweet, calm energy and enjoy relaxing on the sofa or taking leisurely walks.

I GET ALONG WITH: All people. I especially love calm, easy going children. I get along well with other dogs when properly introduced. I would prefer a family with another medium to large dog that has a calmer personality. Exuberant dogs make me a little nervous at first, but with time, I know that I would be best friends with them.

I'D RATHER NOT: Be left outside. I was found as a stray and being alone makes me feel a little anxious. I want to be part of the family and enjoy your company. I do not like thunderstorms at all and will glue myself to your side during a storm for comfort. I would also prefer a home without cats, as I love to chase them!

NEED: Lots of love and affection and I will be your best friend!

Dash is currently being treated for heartworms and will be ready to go to his new home when treatment is completed, but please feel free to go ahead and fill out an application to adopt him!
