Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Maverick! He was dumped at a rural shelter, South of Kansas City, where he spent five long weeks locked in a concrete kennel where he was isolated from humans and canine company. From this lack of companionship and the constant barking at the other dogs he deteriorated mentally. Luckily, through networking from kennel volunteers his story was shared on Facebook where it was read by his foster mom, a SOAR volunteer, who knew she had to help. Within days of leaving the shelter he was behaving like a normal dog again.
Maverick is a wonderful dog who loves dogs and cats. He knows how to sit and lay down and currently is working on how to dance and spin. He is also house trained and loves to play with his squeaky toys and tug-of-war. At night he loves to sleep next to you on the bed.
Maverick will need a fenced yard where he can play ball and run off some energy . He is 3 years old but still plays like a pup. Watch video to see this football star in action!
