Hi! My name is Boogie. I was rescued just before Halloween from a shelter in South, TX about 3 hours outside of Houston. The volunteer contacted our rescue group to let us know that they were
euthanizing many dogs for space (even a French bulldog was at risk). So she took us out and brought us to Houston to Lola’s Lucky Day. I am 10 months old and 15 lbs. I am wire hair terrier mix and fully vetted and neutered. I love to play with all the dogs at my foster home. All sizes I enjoy playing with.
Sometimes I can be an annoying little bro to the older dogs, but also know when to settle down and
relax on the couch. I love to lay on the couch and chew on antlers. My foster mom works during the
day and I have learned the doggie door also! I am kenneled during the day with mid day potty breaks
and don’t have accidents. I am also kenneled at night and don’t make a peep at all. I know when it’s
bed time and calmly lay down on my bed for the night. I get along with the foster kitty at the house, but try and wrestle with her even though she doesn’t want to wrestle. When my mom tells me “no” then I leave the kitty alone. I love the kitty more than the kitty loves me!!! If you’re looking for a HAPPY teenager dog like myself you won’t be disappointed. I am VERY VERY smart. I also am a fairly quiet little dude. I would be ok in an apartment since I don’t have separation anxiety! I would be great with kids also! Because of my age I do require a basic obedience class and I would LOVE it! A home with older kiddo's (over 8) is preferred since I need to learn jumping is not acceptable.
Boogie is currently being foster in Houston, TX and is due to arrive November 17th.
**Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered.
Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states.
Adoption fee is $350.
