Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ADOPTED: I got a great new forever home.
No Phone Calls: Please fill out an application to be approved. This sweet girl is dog and cat social, child friendly and will do best in a calm home environment.
My name is Josie. I am a red n white, small, petite, 7 year old cocker girl. I am an owner surrender to rescue because I started having skin and coat issues that turned into an infection and became costly to maintain monthly to keep me comfortable. My family adopted me at 3 years old from a lady who couldn't keep me. When they first got me home, I did well with the wife and two young children but I was scared, timid and very uncomfortable with the husband. This said, they think that I had been badly abused by a man. It took time, love and patience for me to let the husband handle me and interact with me. The children I lived with were 5 and 7. The other family dog was a mixed breed female younger than me and they had a cat. I was treated well, a loved companion and I had a good life with this family.
I am spayed, heartworm negative and I am now micro-chipped. On my initial vet visit, these folks learned that my itchy skin, coat and ears needed to be addressed. Their vet gave me Apoquil and put me on a specific food diet to see if it would help. I am already feeling better and less itchy. Being on a controlled diet for my skin issues will always be a priority and my new owner will need to be diligent about keeping me on it to help me feel good and be my best. I am a sweet, calm girl, very laid back and I seem to be only somewhat house trained. I am dog and cat social and child friendly. I am ok being crated if you do not leave me alone for long time periods. I do best being let out to do my business every 3 to 4 hours. I like attention and love. I would love to be your sweet baby girl and a very loved indoor companion.
My adoption fee is: $350.
