My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chow Baby! Jo-Jo is yet another sweet fur-baby rescued from a horrible situation in Orrum during Hurricane Florence and made available at RCHS. He was one of the many distressed pups and kitty's observed by myself and the Sheriff's dept surrounded by flood waters and living in filth. Severely matted, malnourished and starved for affection, he was grateful to see us! He appears to be a Chow Husky mix (Chusky) estimated at about 2+ years old, weighs approx 60 pounds which is up from his 54 when rescued,. Jo-Jo is now up to date on all his vaccines and neutered. Unfortunately he did test positive for heart-worm, but is currently on Heart Guard and will need to be retested every 6 months to monitor his progress. He also had a fatty tumor removed from under his chin during his surgery. With all Jo-Jo has been through, he still wants to befriend anyone that wants to show him trust and affection. He would make any family a wonderful loving and faithful companion, although we feel a kid-free home would be a better fit as it appears he's had little socialization in his earlier years. His adoption fee is $200. His ID is DM1809009. An application is available by clicking on the following link http://www.robesonhumanesociety.org/…/Adoption_Application_… You can email it back to us at rchsfriendsforlife@gmail.com, or fax it to 910-738-8685. All animals at RCHS are up to date on vaccinations, tested for Felv/Fiv, heart worm and treated if positive, de-wormed and spayed or neutered if over the age of 6 months. If they are younger than 6 months, the adopter receives a voucher that is good at any vet and covers a portion of the procedure.
