My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Skippy. Mom says that's synonymous with "high-energy" and "perpetual motion". I'm a Schnauzer but Mom says I act just like a Jack Russell Terrier. Did I mention that I am very good at jumping high too?! Oh sure, I can lay in Mom's lap on my back like a baby and let her scratch my tummy. She seems to enjoy that (and I do too) but the minute my feet hit the floor, ZOOM! - I'm off and running again. I get along well with Mom's Schnoodle and Schnauzer. We wrestle and play and have the best time. Cats are ok too but I've noticed that they don't play right! Always swatting me on the nose with those sharp claws! But I leave them alone and they leave me alone and we get along fine. I don't get along all the time with Mom's bigger dogs though. I want to be the "big dog" but they say no and put me in my place. So I need little friends in my new Forever Home. Well, actually, I need ONE little friend. I get along better that way. I'm four years old but I guess I didn't learn all the manners I needed along the way. Mom's been working on that with me. I don't always ask to go outside to potty either. Mom is also working on that with me. But I have my good points. I'm crate trained and eat in there so there isn't a food fight. I sleep in there too since my potty manners are still a little shaky. I can run like the wind so if my new Mom or Dad wanted to go jogging, that would be swell. I'm a great companion and enjoy being the center of attention. How about a home with YOU? It would sure liven up your life.
