My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Maizy! I was named Maizy for the colour of fur. My foster mom says I have the softest fur she’s ever felt – and that it feels like velvet! Ok, she can call it whatever she wants, as long as I’m getting pets and scratches. I LOVE scratches behind my ears. As soon as you start, I’ll start purring for sure! I might be a bit shy when I first meet you, but it won’t take long for me to come around. And once I get to you know a bit more, I’ll roll over for belly rubs – they feel soooo good. Apparently, I make the best biscuits too! I’m a chatty, petite girl and have the cutest little meow. Do you know I’m only one year old? Ya, still just a kitten myself. I’ve been busy so far in my short life, so I haven’t had much time to play with toys. I’m just learning about them, but I can tell you that I love that laser light toy – boy I can chase that thing all over the place. Oh and if you throw me one of those catnip pillow things, that would be just fantastic! I love my scratching post – I use it daily to keep my nails looking their best. You can pick me up, even though I’m not a huge fan. I’m starting to discover that the couch where the people sit is pretty comfy! I’m getting closer and closer to foster mom’s lap. I don’t think I’ve ever met a dog and I kinda hiss at the other cats in my foster home, but that’s just because I’m not used to them yet. There were lots of other cats in my first home, so I’m sure if you take your time introducing us, I’d be fine with them. I really like company, so if you’re home a lot during that day, that would be a definite bonus.

What have I been up to in my short life so far? Well, I was rescued from a house that had way too many cats by Animal Services. Unfortunately, it was too late. I was already pregnant. The rescue people came and took me from Animal Services to my foster home, where I had five big, healthy kittens. My kittens have all found their forever homes and now it’s my turn to get to continue to be the kitten I’m just learning to be.

Well that’s my story. I’d love to hear yours!
