My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sadie is a 8+ year old female Malinois. Sadie found herself in a high kill shelter in Quebec and time was running out for her. She made her way to safety with us with the help of many wonderful volunteer Freedom Drivers. Sadie really loves affection from people and although she sometimes will pull a little, she does like a nice walk. She has some arthritis in her hind legs but still does not hesitate to leap in the back of a car to go for a ride. Sadie ignores the chickens, horses, goats etc... on the farm where she is staying. She has shown a friendly interest in some of the dogs as well, but she is selective and prefers submissive males. Sadie is very affectionate with people she knows, she is alert and a can be protective, based on this we prefer a home with no children or visiting children and very few visitors. Sadie must be in a home who has experience with her breed.

Sadie is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
Haven of the Heart is located near Palgrave and we only adopt out to homes within a 1 to 2 hour drive from Palgrave to save on travel time.
