This beauty is Sassy, a tri-colored Border Collie gal who is 3 years old. She weighs around 45 pounds. Sassy is an owner surrender to BCIN, with her sister Nana.
Sassy is learning, and currently knows sit and come. She is biddable and is a dog that will do anything you ask of her. She is also house trained. When asked to go to her crate, only when asked, she will go in and settle. Sassy is a total love with her people, and likes to hang out with you. However, she but can be protective of her own people and property. Her new family will need to know how to manage that.
Sassy can be a bit timid and hesitant upon meeting her. She does not like to be rushed, as she prefers that people let her greet them rather than the other way around. Therefore, she isn't a fit for a home with small kids. Sassy is good with other dogs and will play with her foster siblings. She also likes to play fetch with her person. Sassy is nice on the leash and is doing well with car rides. She will blossom in a home who has patience and can let her adjust to her new life. Sassy loves to lay in bed with her person and sleep at the door of the bed. She will cuddle briefly, then go back to rest. Sassy has so much potential for sports or adventure. Adopters should have Herding breed or similar experience. Sassy is not well suited for the first time Border Collie owner.
