JUDE is a large, handsome, male Great Pyrenees / Maremma mix. He is approximately 4 years old. Jude has spent his entire life in a field with goats, and other dogs, but little human contact. Despite that, he’s very friendly and loves affection. He was vet checked, vaccinated, and neutered Oct 19th. He is available but will need a bit of recovery time from surgery. For Jake and his new family to have the greatest chance at a forever home, we are looking for a family with patience, who will work with him on socialization, house training, and basic manners.

Note: Great Pyrenees are considered a Giant Breed. Average weight can be 100lbs. or more. They bark, shed and have a wanderlust, so secure fences are a must have. They are NOT off leash dogs and a Pyr off leash is called a "dis'a'Pyr". Some Pyrs do well with other dogs and some don't because by the virtue of their breed traits they were bred to keep out intruders and can consider some dogs as intruders. While they make wonderful pets and family dogs, they aren't for everyone so be sure to understand and learn about the breed traits of this breed or any breed you might be considering.
