Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our pets based on personality, not breed label.
Hello my name is Sweetie. I am a 10 plus year-old spayed American Staffordshire/American Bulldog mix girl seeking companionship, gender or ethnicity unimportant. I am a very good girl who loves to play. I love long walks in the woods, riding in the car and cozy winter nights lying by the fire, candlelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. l will be at front door when you get home from work, wearing only what nature gave me, one thing is that I probably need to be the only pet in your household, I don’t get along with most other pets. I was rescued from the streets of Fort Worth by a good Samaritan who took me into her home when I was pregnant until Ninja Paws Rescue took me in, I had 10 puppies, I nursed my puppies and all got adopted. I did my job well. I waited for over a year for my foster at a boarding kennel.
After spending 2 years with my foster, I finally got adopted, everything went right, except that I developed a little incontinence, I leak a bit and to my adopters that was a major issue and I got returned, I am taking medication to control my “leaking” and has helped a lot, if you adopt me, the rescue will pay for my incontinence medication for the rest of my life. I am bit scared of storms and on my own, I will not go through a doggie door if it is raining so, you will have to either put me outside or walk me to do my business. I am calm, settled and also well trained, I can sit, wait, lay down, leave it, have a decent recall and I am crate trained, so if you need to place me in my crate for a few of hours when you got company or go somewhere, I will patiently and quietly wait for you let me out and be happy.
I am a sweet girl with most adult people and older children, small kids make me nervous. I don’t get along with the majority of dogs because most dogs try to mount me and I don’t like it, I let them know, but sometimes it turns into an altercation when they won’t give up. I definitely don't like female dogs. I would like being the only pet in the house, I will hunt all critters including cats, but as long as you love me, I don’t mind being the only pet, if you give me the chance I will shower you with hugs and wet kisses, I am a kissing fool and I just know there is someone out there who just wants to have a single doggie like me., and remember, if you adopt me, the rescue will pay for my incontinence medication for the rest of my life.
If you like to adopt me and give me a Forever Home or just try me out, call or text Kelly at 817-296-1427, Holly at 817-965-5309 or Miguel 817-798-8416
