MEET HUMPHREY!

Who is looking for a handsome guy to pal around with to the Farmers Market? The perfect date to binge out on Netflix? A trustworthy, good listener, affectionate guy who wants nothing more than to hang on your every word? We found him!

Meet Humphrey! This stout guy is the epitome of a large breed dog personality in a smaller stature. He is a year and a half old Shih-Poo and ready to take on all the world has to offer. He will snuggle up in bed and is equally as happy outside, playing fetch, or going for a walk! He is an excellent exercise buddy, crate trained and just an all around fantastic guy!

He’s a real people pleaser and adapts himself well to new environments. He's just a happy guy! He'd be happy hanging with the kids or packing up for a family hiking trip through the woods, he'll be just as happy!

The Shih-Poo is also considered hypoallergenic, meaning he hardly sheds, which is great news for allergy sufferers! He has the softest pure multi colored coat! He looks like he's wearing makeup! Maybe it's Maybelline?

The Shih-Poo sometimes called the shipoo, is, as the name gives away, a Shih Tzu and Poodle mix! This small, loveable dog breed was developed as one of the many new “designer dog breeds” to hopefully combine the most sought-after traits of the Poodle and Shih Tzu.

Humphrey is a social guy. Almost always preferring company, he isn’t normally shy of strangers - instead, he’ll quite happily lay on their lap waiting for some fussing! He is bouncing around his fosters home with lots of doggy friends big and small.

Humphrey is up to date on all his vaccinations including rabies, he is dewormed, neutered, microchipped and crate trained.

Poodles, Maltese and Doodle type dogs like this need to be groomed on a regular basis and brushed between groomings to keep them from ever getting matted.

As we pre-screen via email please tell us a little about your lifestyle, work schedule, how many adults, children including ages or pets are in the household, area you live in, house or apartment etc.

We will happily place Humphrey in a home with older children and other dogs. He prefers a home with well mannered, mature, dog savvy children. We expect him to be an indoor dog and would love if you had a playmate for him however he is the type that could also soak up all the love and attention for himself. He told us he wouldn't mind being an only child and a spoiled little prince! He will bond quickly to his new parent or parents! He's been dreaming of a family to call his own. Could that be you?

Doodle type dogs are a lot of work so please make sure you’re ready for the responsibility and that everyone in the household is ready and on-board for the long term commitment that training, grooming and exercise a puppy like this requires.
