Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dixie
6 months 28 pounds
Lab/boxer mix
Dixie is the sweetest little girl. She loves everyone she meets and will shower adults and kids alike with kisses. She loves her people and will happily follow you wherever you go. Her tail wags constantly and moves her whole little body in a wiggle.
She gets along well with other dogs and loves to play. She also loves a good nylabone to chew on. After a walk or a run in the yard she will gladly snuggle up with you on the couch.
Dixie goes in her crate willingly with a treat and sleeps through the night. She has not had an accident in her crate or in the house! She is learning basic commands and how to walk on a leash. She is treat motivated and likes to please her people.
Dixie had some hair loss from her time on the streets but she has been treated and her hair has grown in nicely. She is a beautiful blonde with white and black boxer markings on her face.
Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email safehavendogsIL@yahoo.com for an application or additional details.

Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
