My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Graham!

Graham is a senior chiweenie mix with the most awesome ears, one lower tooth that pokes out, and a very happy tail! True to his chihuahua nature, he has a big personality! He bonds strongly to his people, but he takes a little bit of time to trust at first. Once he bonds to you, he wants nothing more than to be a constant companion, so he would love to have someone who is home more often.

He loves to snuggle in bed at night and prances when he goes for a walk. He was surrendered by his owners and seems to have come from a sheltered environment, as new situations and people used to make him nervous, but he has really improved with this as he has built his relationship with his people.

Graham will do best in a quieter home. He still needs time and space to decided to trust new people in his life. Graham gets along best with other smaller dogs and low key medium dogs in his foster home. He is not a fan of young children or large/energetic dogs, and he has a tendency to guard his food bowl. Graham has had a dental, he is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations and preventatives, as well as heartworm tested and microchipped. This sweet senior boy is looking for his new family and forever home to spend his golden years. He is a sweet boy looking for a quiet, low key home with a warm lap to lay on. Could you be the retirement home that Graham has been looking for?

Adoption fee is $200.00 (no checks)

Foster to contact: Sara - 651-260-3774 or sara.fostermom@gmail.com

Graham will not be at an adoption event so please contact the foster to learn more!

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.

Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
