Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Stevie #2 is a 1-year-old neutered male black lab. Stevie weighs 38 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with children ages 10 and up.
Stevie is happy to meet you and shows it by his wagging tail and the kisses he give you. He thinks playing is great unless you want to pet him which is even better. Takes treats gently. Stevie gets along well with other dogs. He would like an active family that has a fenced yard for him to play in and who will give him the attention, training, and exercise he needs.
Stevie is a really good boy who also happens to be a puppy. He's a curious little guy, who is learning what is his and what is not so he doesn't accidentally eat your homework. He wouldn't mean anything by it, and he's just so cute and sweet you can't even stay mad. Stevie is a young guy and needs exercise. He hasn't quite figured out fetch yet so while you can use that to run out some of his wiggles, but he'll need walks and daily play. He loves other dogs and would love a canine companion or an active family (or trips to the dog parks). He is crate trained and is doing great with his refresher house training too.
Stevie is a young pup who can use some additional training so he will have a Training Addendum.
UPDATE: Stevie is doing so well! He seems to be adapting well to our more urban setting. Traffic noise (especially large trucks) still makes him a little nervous while on walks, but in just one week, he has already become much more confident. He walks without pulling on the lead unless a squirrel happens to run by. Joggers and bicyclists make him uncomfortable, but he deals with that stress by sitting or laying down. He has shown no interest in jumping on or chasing them.
He is an incredibly intelligent little K9. He takes correction exceedingly well and has already learned that items on our coffee table are off limits. He has already made huge progress in coming when called, and sitting on command. He has shown zero interest in getting out of the yard, and he enjoys chasing balls (and even occasionally bring one back) and loves trying to catch falling leaves.
Stevie is a very good boy with a good heart and he wants to please. He's affectionate and great with all other dogs he's met. He can get even the shyest dogs to play and is pretty good about quiet / gentle play inside, speed work and dog over dog outside. He is crate trained and goes in happily. While it's not required, Stevie would thrive in a home with another dog to play with as he enjoys them so much.
