My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ella is a 2-year-old spayed female black lab. Ella weighs 58 pounds and is up to date on shots. Ella is bonded with Otis and the 2 must be adopted together.

Talk about a terrific twosome! Ella is an adorable girl with gorgeous brown eyes, a long red-carpet tongue, and even longer ears. Otis is a beautiful boy with smiley brown eyes and perky ears. Both are black with a dusting of powdered sugar on the chest. This cute combo loves to swim, play with frisbees and balls, and ride in the car. They enjoy the company of kids and like to play with other dogs. Ella is the more outgoing of the two. Ella and Otis are so excited to find a family that will spoil them with peanut butter Kongs (their favorite), and give them the love and affection they deserve. They are good with dogs, unknown with cats, and approved for kids 8 and up.

They are an owner surrender because the owner has a new baby and a new job and no longer has time for the dogs.

UPDATE: ‎Ella and Otis loved chasing each other in the snow, but then REALLY loved warming up next to each other. It's no wonder these 2-year olds are a bonded pair. Plus, you only need ONE bed for them - they are the ultimate snugglers!

These pups are very intelligent- Otis mastered fetch in less than a week & they both know several commands. They are great in the car - in fact, they know the words “want to go for a ride?”. They will need a family dedicated to walking them or a 6 foot fence. With a little work Otis will be a master at agility training! Otis loves his sister and likes to know where she is but separates easily in a safe place. He needs 2 minutes (for real - only 2!!) to warm up to new men but once he knows them, they have a true snuggle partner. These pups are a rare find and perfect for an active family! They haven't bothered the cat in the home either!

Ella and Otis have lots of energy but are great dogs. They love running around in the backyard with a 4 foot fence but they are never left unattended. They do put their noses up to the kitchen counter but have never taken food. Both Ella and Otis are housebroken. They both could use a little help with their leash skills. Otis and Ella go in their crates without issue when the humans leave the house but at night they are crate free and sleep with the daughter in her bed.
