Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A big "HELLO” to little (and a bit chunky) “KASPER” who is a brown, neutered, 5 year old (01/15/2013), gentle and extremely loving Toy Poodle. Sadly Kasper comes to us from an owner whose health is failing and can no longer care for her beloved Poodle boy.
Kasper has been deeply loved and well cared for all his life. He had been with another dog and has been just fine with ALL of our Poodles (including Bernie) but Kasper is not looking to be their “special” friend. He is however used to being with someone home most all of the time. So he asked if that would be possible again.
Instead of playing with toys, he will follow me all over the house, enjoys looking out our window at all the pretty leaves falling, or being in someone’s lap. Grab a leash and Kasper will come running as he also loves to go for walks or a car ride. This little boy likes it when people come to our home as he is ready to be the center of their attention.
Kasper likes men as well as women. He did tolerate our grandchildren when they came to visit, but was very glad when they went home. So please, no children.
While Kasper had been sleeping with his previous owner, he has been fine sleeping in his kennel while he has been with us. This will now give his new family the option of where he will sleep at night; with you or in his kennel.
Kasper’s first appointment with our Vet went very good. He now weighs 10 pounds, so he only needs to lose 2 more pounds. His teeth cleaned up nicely, his shots and worming are all up to date, he is heartworm, Lymes tested negative and Home Again micro chipped.
However, Kasper had a bladder infection as he had been wearing a belly band most all of the time. Kasper is perfect gentleman (house trained) in our home so we’ve thrown that band away. He is a smart boy, has NOT had any accidents and greatly enjoys going outside in our fenced yard. Priority will be given to a family with a fenced yard.
Another Vet visit and more tests were just done, so we now know that his infection has cleared up and he is doing just fine!
To the right family, Kasper’s $400.00 adoption fee includes the $25.00 Minnesota state sales tax and helps pay for his vet expenses. Also included is his kennel, a new blanket, a bag of dog food, dog treats, a dog bed, leash, collar, past Vet records and lots of good information to help your adoption start off on the right paw forward!
