Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweet girl just came to us as her family had a new baby and could no longer care for her. She is a pretty yellow lab about a year old, and weighs maybe around 50 pounds. She seems to have very good manners, and seems to not be as energetic as most 1 year old girls are. She does need some training, she knows sit, shake, and can lay down for treats. She does not know those commands without treats though. She does take her treats very nicely and does not bite at all! She is potty trained, and is learning the doggy door quickly. She does not like to be left alone though, she whines in the kennel, but will stop after a some coaxing. She likes to have a small light on at night, as I’m wondering if she’s a little afraid of the dark or just that she’s alone? She does great outdoors, she has not dug the yard, fence, or tried to jump the fence at all. She likes her toys, but she is not overly playful, just enough really! She loves to snuggle and she likes to talk! She likes that cat, she has not bit at him. He hisses at her, and she just walks away. If he continues to tease her, she will get curious to see what he’s doing or what he’s getting. Daizie does counter surf, but has not actually taken anything yet, and listens quickly to get down so she’s learning. She does seem to have a handful of old scars, not sure what happened? She is not aggressive towards my other dog at all. She is very gentle and is respectful of her. She loves kids, she does jump sometimes, but it is not an aggressive jump, it's more like she just wants to say hi with a soft landing, and she doesn't always jump just sometimes. I do not know if she likes to swim, we have a pool, but since it’s been chilly out, she hasn’t tried to swim. She does not seem afraid of the water though, as she walks along it and looks in it often, but just doesn’t have interest in going in yet.
