My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

KiKi appears to have been bred a number of times in her 6 years of life. She came into our program after being surrendered by her original owner who said she had her for 6 years from a puppy and that she obtained her from a breeder.

KiKi was not spayed. had dental disease and as it turned out was suffering from a huge bladder stone. Our foster home noticed blood in her urine within hours of us getting her, so clearly the owner who surrendered her must have known about the condition.

But now - after surgery to remove the stone, spay her, and remove 18 teeth, this exuberant, happy, loving girl is in need of a home which will not neglect her going forward.

This little girl needs to be with her people and will benefit from having another friendly dog or dogs in the home. What she needs most of all is a home with a commitment to providing both the love and the care she so deserves, a home which can afford the cost of a special diet and ongoing veterinary monitoring. The management of Kiki's medical needs is not difficult not overly expensive, but it does require commitment to her wellbeing in the longterm.

This is a wonderful sweet girl and needs a wonderful sweet home. We are asking for our usual adoption fee of $250 plus a donation of at least $250 to help offset some of the cost we incurred, which exceeded $3,000.
