My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alvin is a darling senior chihuahua.. maybe 8 years old or possibly older. His solid black coat with a growing white mask gives him the look of confident wisdom. We're not sure how Alvin ended up at the shelter but it's clear he was well loved and socialized.. he is a very well rounded dog and with his age, he doesn't skip a beat! He loves taking long walks and then coming back inside for a nap in his beloved crate.. he adores his comfy crate!

Alvin is super content curling up in his bed, snoozing the rainy day away. On the flip side, he's always up and ready to when asked if he wants to go for a walk. Alvin really enjoys outdoor activities.. because of how friendly and welcoming he is, we were able to bring him along to two events where there are lots of strangers and kids to interact with. Alvin was an absolute rockstar and he absolutely adored the endearing pets from the gentle children. He even climbed into a young girls lap <3

Alvin gets along very well with calm dogs of his size. He will surely enjoy shared space with larger dogs that don't get up in his face and tower over him. After all, he is a wee little guy! Alvin makes such a wonderful little buddy companion... just looking at him puts a smile on my face! We believe he'd get along just fine with cats too.

*We are looking for a quiet home for Alvin as he is heartworm positive and will need to undergo heartworm treatment.
