My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello beagle friends! My name is Gus and I am a young and playful beagle boy in search of a home to call my own. I am approx. 2-3 years old and weigh 24 lbs. As a puppy, I was rescued when Hurricane Irma passed through my town. Recently, I was rescued again when Hurricane Michael caused rising floodwaters to cover parts of North Carolina. I was not treated well by my previous owners, either, but things are surely looking up for me now. I am ready to focus on all the positive things that will happen when I meet my new family.

I spent some time in a foster home before making the trek up to New Jersey. My foster mom says that I am a smart and fun boy. I enjoy going for walks and exploring the world around me. I get along well with other dogs and love everyone that I meet. I would be the perfect addition to your family. Are you ready for me? I will be at PetSmart in Mays Landing, NJ on Saturday from 11- 3 pm.
