Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Stitch is 7 years old and currently weighs a slender 8 lbs. Stitch is being fostered in Orlando, FL. Stitch is being fostered in Orlando, FL.
UPDATED BIO 10/24/18: Stitch is an adorable little boy who was rescued by a good Samaritan who knew he needed help. Stitch arrived in UYR underweight, but is now 8 pounds and the vet thinks a good weight for him is between 8-1/2 to 9 pounds.
Stitch has had his neuter and dental and is recuperating nicely in his foster home. Stitch's mouth was in such bad shape that the vet had to pull all but 6 of his teeth. Stitch is not letting that slow him down one bit. He loves to eat and will soon be at his healthy weight of 8-1/2 to 9 pounds.
Stitch arrived in his foster home with itchy paws and dry, scaly skin. His skin issues are probably due to being malnourished for so long, and perhaps a not-so-healthy diet. His itchy paws are probably from walking in the grass/weeds. The vet has given him medication to help with this. She thinks Stitch's skin problems could be related to food allergies. She recommended changing his diet to home-cooked chicken and rice and add coconut oil and Probiotic Powder to the mixture. She also prescribed a special shampoo to help with his itchies. Needless to say, Stitch loves his new diet – this little boy is so happy to be eating well – maybe for the first time in his life.
Stitch is a pure sweetheart. He knows his name and is a smart little boy. When asked if he needs to go potty, he starts heading to the back door. He hasn't quite yet grasped the concept that he should not lift his leg in the house, but his Foster Mom is continuing to work with him on teaching him proper potty manners. Now that Stitch is neutered, his training should be easier.
Stitch loves chasing lizards, walks and car rides. While on a walk, he will easily approach other dogs and gets along with other household pets, including cats. Stitch adores having his belly rubbed and this is a big requirement for his forever home - his new family must readily accommodate him when he asks for belly rubs.
Stitch's ideal forever family will have a mom or dad who is retired or works from home. He would be happy to have a fur-brother or sister of similar size and disposition. Stitch can be placed in a home with children older than 10 years old.
