Yami is a wonderful girl in need of a loving home. Yami is roughly 3 years old and just as sweet as can be. She was found at a construction site in Puerto Rico with a litter of puppies. She had given birth during the Hurricane last September. Her puppies were born under a dump truck. Yami and her pups were rescued immediately following the hurricane and when old enough her pups moved on, Yami however did not. Our rescue counterparts in Puerto Rico contacted us to see if we had room for Yami. Of course we said absolutely and she we
was flown to Newark Airport and is now in a foster home in New Jersey. She is settling in really well. She is going to make a wonderful addition to someone’s family. If you are not an experienced dog owner, or are looking for a canine companion with not a lot of need for burning energy or training, look no further. Yami is your girl as she is super easy! She walks really well on leash, is house broken, not destructive, not a digger in the yard, not a fence jumper, not possessive of food or toys, plays for a reasonable period of time then relaxes (in other words, a nice balance of energy and calm)… and just a really easy dog!! She would be just fine as an only dog, yet also enjoys playing with a canine companion as she becomes more and more comfortable in her foster home. We do not feel Yami would do well with cats though. .If you would like to meet Yami, simply complete and adoption application at the top of this page under the adoption tab.
