WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet.
Max Welsh Terrier 3 years old, neutered. 30lbs
Max was surrendered to our vets & was going to be euthanized per the request of his mum but our vets had her surrender him to their care then to us. Max was adopted but returned to the rescue as he got to excitable around other dogs when out & about.
We put Max into the doggy daycare with many breeds of other dogs & he has spent countless hours with all different breeds of dogs but we would like for Max to be an only dog in his new forever & be the family’s everything. He gets very vocal around other dogs & should go to a forever home where the family had Welsh Terrier or Airedale experience only.
Max is neutered, chipped, up to date on his shots, walks well on leash, apparently had not been around other dogs before except going to the vets but he did so great with other dogs when we tested him, he was so enthralled to see what puppies were & was just curious. We took him to our groomer as we don’t know if he was ever groomed before as he smelled of urine & needed a bath mighty bad. He did well at the groomer considering it might of been his very first time of been groomed. We also have not experienced anything that the previous family said they experienced.
Max was actually quite thin & our wonderful vets & ourselves have been trying to fatten him & have been working on that. When hand fed wet food he takes it so nicely & gently just like a gentleman.
Max is also very intelligent he knows how to shake paws, sit, come & stay. We would like for Max to go to a home where he can go on walks everyday & be cherished & loved as he should be. He loves the attention of people & enjoys being touched every where. He needs a home with Welsh or Airedale experience only.
Max will need work on potty training like all of his rescue friends. We have never had him around children nor cats. Must be the only dog in the home.
It’s always up to the new potential family & look at the pictures & decide what breed of dog they think Max is.
Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Max & going through the process and have read his listing fully to the end & are interested in adopting. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview, and a home visit followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Max that meet all the requirements. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto to dogs for people as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately.
Max has an adoption fee of $600 & is ready for her forever family.
**IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ**
An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well.
As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves.
Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved, a safe environment, a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding.
