Barry is 12 yrs old and 7 lbs of cuteness but with a crabby attitude. We call him Crabby Appleton! He just wants to do what he wants to do and gets very upset when his belly band needs to be changed or he has to get his eye drops. Mostly, he likes to eat and sleep and run around outside. However, he will often permit an ear rub...he does enjoy that! But when he gets upset, he tries to bite and you can't help but laugh since he hasn't a tooth in his head! We think Barry prefers men but not sure. He will settle in his bed at night and allows foster mom to cover him with a blankie and sleep all night long...very good boy!

He is a Maltese mix with something we're not sure of. His back legs are arthritic, but that doesn't stop him from trotting around the house. Barry can't do long walks but can accompany you in a stroller or tucked away in your jacket. He is deaf, and his eye sight isn't the best and will need eye drops for dry eye twice a day. He has a pretty specific diet that we will want him to continue. I've been adding a little CBD oil and Ultra Oil to his food. His recent bloodwork was great and shows he is in pretty good health!

He is quiet, somewhat house trained and doesn't bark a lot. Even with his issues, he is a funny little companion. Barry gets along with other dogs and tolerates older children as long as he is not threatened. He likes a quiet environment, loves to ride in the car and check out the sights. We think he'd be a great companion for an older gentleman.

There are no cats in the foster home, so it is unknown if he gets along with them.
