Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Are you looking for a loyal canine companion that can keep up with your athletic lifestyle? Meet Dexter, a large handsome black and white canine that came to the Coronado Animal Care Facility when he was found wandering at Tenth Street & B Avenue. He is now seeking his forever home. Dexter is a six-year-old male Border Collie Mix who weighs 71 pounds.
This sweet boy can be somewhat aloof when first meeting people, but soon enough Dexter will be your loyal buddy. He enjoys human companionship. Dexter loves to play fetch with his Nylabone. He is house trained and knows the following commands: sit, down and shake. Dexter walks nicely on his leash and would likely be a good running/hiking companion. That said, due to his size and strength, he will need a strong owner. Dexter would love a dog-savvy active family (with teenagers or just adults) who can give him the attention and exercise that he needs (1-2 hours daily). Come meet this loyal canine today, Dexter is ready for his next life adventure with a loving active adult or family!
Dexter’s Stats:
Border Collie Mix, male
DOB: September 2012, 71 pounds
Shots up to date, neutered, micro chipped
Adoption fee $125
The Coronado Animal Care Facility (ACF) is open 9:00-11:30am and 12:30-4:00pm daily, except major holidays. It is located at 1395 First Street, at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.
If you are interested in an adoption, first please come meet the dog at the Coronado ACF. Then submit a dog adoption application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado dog adoption counselor. You may complete the online dog adoption application or an application at the Coronado ACF. If you have any questions, please email dogadoptions@pawsofcoronado.org.
