Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Howdy to you! My name is Felix, and I'm a sweet, outgoing, friendly, and handsome coal-black Maine Coon/ domestic medium hair mix fella with gorgeous copper-penny eyes who was born in May 2018. I get along with all 2-legged and 4-legged critters -- humans, small dogs, as well as other kitties.
Just look at my big plume of a tail, which is what makes me look like a Maine Coon mix! Watch the video 'Cats 101 Maine Coon' which appeared on Animal Planet, and you'll find that Maine Coons come in all colors, from black to white with call colors and tabbies in between.
My sister Fergie and I were found by a Good Samaritan, who turned us into a shelter. Yikes! We all know what happens to black cats in a shelter! Fortunately, our future Buster's Friends' foster meowmy spotted us and rescued us out of there!
As much as I like it in my foster home, I'm ready to find a home of my very own. Although Fergie and I are available individually, we think it would be great if we could be adopted together. Just think -- we could keep each other company while you're at work or on vacation. Solo or as part of a bonded pair, I'd make a great family cat, so arrange to meet my gorgeous self (and Fergie, for that matter!) right away!
Please don't be superstitious of black cats! You know, Groucho Marx once said, 'A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere.' Buster's Friends makes a concerted effort to rescue black cats and kittens from shelters because they are five times more likely to be euthanized than any other color of cat. However, many people who have previously had a black cat end up adopting another one because they seem to have such wonderful personalities and are emotionally stable and well balanced.
Felix is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. His adoption fee is $125 for kittens 9 months old and younger, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Felix, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet him.
To adopt one of our cats, you must fill out our adoption application and be approved by one of our adoption counselors. To make the process more efficient, download the adoption application at http://www.bustersfriends.org/catadoptionapplication.shtml.
First save and then open it; then you can print it and fill it out.
