Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Honestly, how could you not fall in love with this face?! I mean look at me! My name is Onyx and I am the happiest, tail wagger in all the land! I am 15 months old and about 70-80lbs. I am a purebred black lab and I've got energy for days. I am looking for a fun-loving, active, adventure buddy! I am a smartie too! I am house trained and know how to "sit" and "lay down" for treats. I am good with other dogs. I love kids, but because I'm a boy on the go, older kids may be a better fit for me. I want some humans I can play with! I would love some space to run around and play catch with my people! I am so happy with any attention. I've got lots to learn about those "manners" things and that "leash" stuff, so I need a best friend who will help me learn those. It will take time and effort, but also lots of love and patience. I may not be perfect yet but no dog is. I am a sweet boy who craves some love and affection. If you want a good boy to be your loyal best friend forever, start filling out that application now!
*I am a graduate of the Pups for Parole training program. I now have all the basic training necessary to make a great companion. I will need a family willing to continue my training, I sure don't want to forget all that I have learned!*
My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out*

*Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home.
