Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our sweet girl Lola is ready for adoption or a northern foster...Right now, Lola is being fostered in Texas and has been doing remarkably well, despite what she has been through...This sweet girl is incredibly thin, so even her face is emaciated, but once she is up to her full weight, she ought to be absolutely stunning......Lola was an owner surrender at Harris County Shelter in Texas......She was there for about a week before we saved her and then went into boarding for a few days until the foster had room for her...She picked Lola up last Wednesday and since then, we have found out a lot more about sweet Lola...Here's the rundown: Lola is completely house trained, is wonderful in a crate and uses it as her safe place, is about 3 years old, LOVES people, needs a secure fence and some basic training...She knows how to "sit" and "stay", but clearly has not had the opportunity to bond with someone, despite her desire to do so......Our guess is that Lola was probably taken away from her Mom and litter mates way too soon and spent way too much time confined to a crate, because even though she gets along fine with other dogs, her play style is awkward and she needs to learn about personal space...That being said, Lola learns quickly and is going to make someone a WONDERFUL companion, given time and dedication to teaching her about the finer things in life......Lola needs a dog savvy foster or adopter very soon...She would benefit from a home with another dog, especially a male dog, to help teach her "dog speak"......The foster can not keep her much longer and I really don't want to put her back into boarding...😔...Who is out there that wants to help this very deserving girl shine with the best of them?......Thanks so much...
Lola is adoptable to New England, the greater New York metro area and from N.J. to PA
