We can only guess what Parker's life was prior to ending up in the shelter. He was dropped in the shelter's night box, after being found on the streets of Newark. In the shelter, he was afraid of everything. Shelter staff had to carry him everywhere as he had no leash training and paralyzed with fear. After a month or working with him, he made some progress in the shelter, but not enough to be available for adoption to the general public. As his time ran out, the shelter asked Nobody's Perfekt Dogs to pull him into foster care.

Parker has made progress. He walks on a leash, and is very bonded with his foster mom. At the adoption center when his mom leaves him, he does bond with other volunteers. He is okay with other dogs, but there isn't much interaction between the dogs in the foster home and him. He prefers the company of his foster mom. He would be okay with cats.

Whoever gives Parker a forever home, will need to continue working on his socialization, introducing him to new situations and people. He will bond pretty quickly with whomever he lives with.
