Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet this most handsome of fellows, Romeo. He is a transfer from Clackamas County Animal Services who trusted us to place this magnificent boy. “Thank you Clackamas County”! His previous caregiver (pictured adoringly) says, “He is a goldmine of a dog. Anyone will be lucky to have Romeo in their life.”
Romeo is a fantastic dog; he’s happy, sweet, goofy and will rollover for belly rubs at every opportunity. He is a big dog who enjoys being outside, and is most happy being with those he loves. We are looking for a home, where he can be indoors with his family but also has access to the outdoors, where he can lounge and watch the world go by. He is great with people, kids, and other dogs. Romeo is looking for a family that will give him lots of love, affection and will commit to being his forever family.
Note: Great Pyrenees are considered a Giant Breed. Average weight can be 100lbs. or more. They bark, shed and have a wanderlust, so secure fences are a must have. They are NOT off leash dogs and a Pyr off leash is called a "dis'a'Pyr". Some Pyrs do well with other dogs and some don't because by the virtue of their breed traits they were bred to keep out intruders and can consider some dogs as intruders. While they make wonderful pets and family dogs, they aren't for everyone so be sure to understand and learn about the breed traits of this breed or any breed you might be considering.
