Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bear is a handsome 1 1/2 year old Shephard/Rottie mix who absolutely loves to be loved. Besides being extremely good looking, he is exceptionally smart. This young boy knows, sit, down, shake, wait and stay. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night in his crate and when his foster family runs errands during the day. He extremely sweet and loving and is great with kids and dogs, big and small. He and his big Labrador foster brother love to wrestle and play all day long. Bear is still a puppy and that means he has loads of energy, he likes to dig and make holes in the landscaping, he likes to tear up his plush dog toys, and he has been known to tear up a dog bed or two.
With that said, we think he would do best in a home where he has another young dog, his size to help burn off his energy or a human that can take him on daily runs, as he is a high energy dog. He will chase cats, so a home with no cats is best. Bear had come from a very abusive home and will submissive pee if he gets scared. So a family that is extremely calm, patient and nurturing would be wonderful for this sweet young boy.
Update:
Bear is an amazing dog. He has adjusted well to a normal family environment. He is definitely a high energy dog that would thrive in a house with another dog his size and med-high energy level. He loves kids and myself and my husband. He is completely housebroken and uses the dog door like a champ. He is great with correction and is a people pleaser. He has only chewed up his dog toys, hasn’t touched anything he shouldn’t. He is just so loving and sweet and always wants to do the right thing, so if he sounds like the perfect addition to your family, please contact us.
