Are you looking for a sweet, fun canine that is full of enthusiasm? Meet Atticus, a new arrival at the Coronado Animal Care Facility who came to us as a stray when he was found wandering on Alameda Blvd. He is now ready for his forever home. Atticus is a two-year-old male Shepherd Mix who weighs 54 pounds.
A boy with a heart, Atticus wants to be connected with his human pals. Whether it is sidled up to your knee, in your lap or just snuggling; he delights in human touch. While Atticus will entertain himself with his toys, he loves to play fetch with his people. Atticus is learning to walk nicely on his leash and could become a good running or hiking partner. He is house trained. Atticus is a big boy, so he would do best in a household with older kids or just adults. As with many young energetic canines, Atticus will need a dog savvy family who will dedicate time to his obedience training and give him daily exercise (1-2 hours). The Coronado Animal Care Facility (ACF) is open 9:00-11:30am and 12:30–4:00pm daily, except major holidays. It is located at 1395 First Street, at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.
If you are interested in an adoption, first please come meet the dog at the Coronado ACF. Then submit a dog adoption application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado dog adoption counselor.
