Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oh, hello there! I’m Roslynne but some call me Rosey for short. I am a young, 52lb pitty with a pitiful story.
About a month before I came here my former owner got evicted from our home. I guess wherever he decided to go... he wasn’t able to take me with him. He ended up leaving me there by myself in the barn...
I was alone there for about a month, and even injured my head pretty badly on some glass from trying to get out the window. Luckily someone noticed my presence there and the police came and picked me up and brought me here - to the Animal Resource Center. That’s where I am now!
I guess you could say I didn’t make the best first impression though. When the people here first met me I was scared so I acted real tough! They weren’t sure if they would be able to work with me, and I wasn’t sure if I could trust them.
With some patience and understanding on their part, and with their soft kind words and yummy treats, I began to let my guard down. Once I let them pet me I realized that they weren’t going to hurt me. In fact, they just wanted to love and care for me! It felt so good to feel such love, and I quickly took down my walls and let them see the real me!
The real me is quite the loving goof ball! I love to play and jump and climb in laps for a snuggle! The people here say I could use a little manners training because maybe I like to jump too much - but I just can’t help it! It just fills me with such excitement to get so much attention after being alone for so long!
I’m now in a place where I feel warm and safe and loved. Every day here I trust the people more and more and continue to let my guard down and let them into my heart. I’m still pretty weary of new people - and as much as I would love to find a new forever family I hope to find someone who will understand and be patient with me. It still takes me a while to let new people in. Once I do let you in I promise I am worth knowing! I hope there is someone out there who will take a chance on me!
If that someone is you and you would like to meet me, please contact Vicki at 570-204-6355 or vicki@nokillarc.org to set up an appointment. Please don’t forget to tell her a little about yourself! I can’t wait to see who chooses me!
***Roslynne is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and has had a blood parasite screening***
